Kia Ora all

Today was the writing week "dress as a character" day. Students came as all sorts of characters from a number of decidedly scary looking witches, Woody from Toy Story, to Super Diaper Baby. Mr Forman even managed to dress up. For some reason students thought he was from Barbie or Puss 'n Boots, when in fact he was Aramis, one of the famous Three Musketeers.

We joined everyone else in the hall for the parade. From Room 5 we chose Sophie, Harrison, Maddison and Phoebe. In fact we could have chose just about everyone as the costumes were amazing.

Unfortunately we had to leave for swimming before the winners were announced but we later heard that Sophie had placed 2nd in the year 4 section. Sophie received a book of her choice as her prize.

The bus driver looked a little confused when we all hopped on the bus in our costumes but she thought we looked fantastic.

We also finally received our letters from Kingswood Junior School in England. They have taken a long time to get here because they were returned to England and had to be re-sent. Nevertheless, we were excited to finally get a chance to read their letters. We are going to try and complete our letters before the end of term.

GOLD! GOLD! GOLD

The wonderful and talented AUSTIN has reached his GOLD mathletics certificate. The 2nd in the class but the 1st boy. Well done, Austin. You hard work and diligence has certainly paid off. Austin has thrown down the challenge to all the other boys in Room 5.
