Today we shared our Waste Challenge Booklets with each other. There were quite a few tasks to complete, and it was pleasing to see the effort put in by a number of students.

Recently we have been reading instructional texts. Group 1 read about how to make a purerehua; Group 2 about making a moveable garden; Group 3 and 4 about things you can make with paper. We used recycled materials where we could. Last Friday we began making our selected items and spent some more time today on them.
Here is a photo of what Jade made - She had to correctly follow the instructions set out in the text to complete her task. I think Jade is going to try for 3 or 4 levels.
Sophie's Castle
Sophie has been busy at home creating masterpieces from recycled material. A fantastic example of turning 'trash into treasure'.
